I Thought... I Thought...

With little kids, sometimes you just don’t know what’s in their mind and parents just sometimes have the tendency to always think ahead of the mischief that they could put themselves into. And mind you, that’s regardless of age.
JUST BEING HELPFUL
In his tender age, we started teaching my 2 year old to put their dirty clothes where it belongs. One afternoon, as how our routine was, I placed their change of clothes on the bed and gave each my little ones a bath (one after the other). My 2 year-old being the first to take a shower, I instructed him to put his dirty clothes on the hamper as I was walking towards the bathroom to give my one year-old a bath. As I was dressing up my youngest, I was surprised to find that I forgot to get him a change of pyjama. With that I went to get a new pair. After putting Mr. 1 year old to his crib to tidy up the bed with clothes and bath paraphernalia. To my surprise, as I was putting dirty clothes in the hamper, there I noticed the pyjama I initially brought out for my youngest together with my bag and a towel. Then I realized, I did not forget to bring out a pyjama, my way too helpful 2 year old decided to put more than just his dirty clothes in the hamper anyway. Amidst being tired, all I could muster up was a smile as I bring out the rest of the stuff out of the hamper.
CLEARING UP
With my 1 year old starting to appreciate the fun of walking around the house freely, he spends some of his time in front of the fridge and bringing all fridge alphabets (those magnetic ones) from the fridge door to the floor. Sometime, my eldest also joins in and trash the house to bits. One day, I was about to bring them up to their room after letting them trash the kitchen with the magnetic letters. I picked up my youngest and start towards the stairs while calling on the 2 year old. There’s a wall partition between the kitchen and the stairs from where I was standing to I can’t see what my 2 year old is doing. Thinking that he’s ignoring my call and decided to play continually, I kept calling put to him and reprimanding him. After hollering 3 times, I decided to walk towards the kitchen and check out what he’s doing. My then starting to boil anger died down to a laugh when I saw him picking up all the alphabet magnets and sticking them one by one on the fridge door with a silly grin on his face when he saw me looking at him.
“Just when we thought we know how they think and what they are thinking, they just take us by surprise…”
