Meal time has always been a challenge. Sometimes my toddlers would open their mouth willingly to whatever food I’ll offer. But more often than not, there would be a power struggle on who will give up first. And, hands up, I often lose. It does worry me that they are not getting enough solid foods into their growing bodies. Good thing they do gulp every bottle of milk that we give them with much gusto. Knowing that milk isn’t enough, I never give up on trying to nourish their little tummies with something more than milk.
Common food stuffs that I could successfully pop into their mouth: selected fruits, juice, selected pieces of veggies, rice and the ever loyal banana.
Thank heavens for bananas, I am certain that my kids would have something solid in their tummies.
